THE STORY OF THE PEN PERSON

WHO AM I?

My name is Sudhir Kalyanikar. I have a day job as an IT professional. I also take lectures in Marketing for MBA students as a visiting faculty.

HOW AND WHEN DID I GET INTO PENS?

I started collecting pens in the early 1990s and have been an avid and passionate fountain pen enthusiast ever since.

WHEN DID I START PEN REPAIRS?

I started repairing my own pens first when they started to misbehave, then just to test the limits of what I could do, and then, because I got good at it.

I started with repairing pens for friends at local meets, which grew to a clientele based across India and before I knew it, I was offering these services to a much wider audience.​

WHAT ARE MY OTHER INTERESTS?

In my non-pen life I am interested in Wet Shaving, Watches, Books, Audio Stuff, Coffee, Single Malt, Beer (and not necessarily in that order, or any order, really).
I love dogs (and cats too, sort of) and I’m really a confused soul in pursuit of inner peace through crass materialism; an anachronism.
